This is one of our favorite restaurants. We don't usually dine here in the summer for some reason, but today we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. It couldn't be more perfect! We both had a SAPPORO on tap, Calamari, Shrimp, crispy noodles, and perfectly prepared string beans. We usually sit outside, they have a lovely patio, but today for the first time we opted to sit inside. We didn't realize how comfortable and nicely appointed the interior is... and the service was excellent. However, one of the nicest touches, was the lavender and rose hand soap in the ladies room. It was so special I felt compelled to ask for the manager and tell him how nice the soap was, his name is Leo, and he said I made his day! He said they pride themselves on adding nice little touches and I have to say this was a nice touch! All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. BTW the free parking is also a plus.

Wonderful option for dim sum in the studio city area. The food tasted fresh and authentic and we ordered just about one of everything. Since we order so much food, we had to get two tables and the waiters were so accommodating. I did not get the name of the two male servers, but they were incredibly friendly and efficient. We went on Thursday evening around 7 pm and those two guys were fast and so helpful. Top three items to order is the shrimp fried rice, beef noodle rolls, and shumai. Shrimps were big and juicy. Orderd the hot seafood soup. It had noodles and lemongrass flavor whit white fish and shrimp. Enough to share for 4 people. Har gow was fresh tasting and full of shrimp filling. Bok choy is quartered and so chunky. Egg custard tasted fresh wish the crust was flakier. Chicken feet was well sauced and tender. Would not order the beef tripe again as it was gamey. Shrimp noodle was ok. Beef noodle roll was great. Super soft and delicate flavor. The shrimp fried rice was not greasy, super flavorful and full of big shrimp. Did not expect it to be so good. Definitely order that. It's enough to feed 4 people easily. Place is very clean and welcoming. Good for groups and dates. It's located on the second floor. Parking is tight in the area, so be careful when driving. Would highly recommend this place for Chinese food and especially dim sum in the area.

Authentic Shanghai cuisine according to my renound friend Dr. Chen. depends on whose cooking, it can be Michelin Star quality. Because its not always at that crazy level, i give it 4 stars. i wish they had consistently perfect food but honestly its only above average sometimes. even on the worst day this stuff is shockingly great. on the good days i cry profusely

This is a new location, as they moved a couple of blocks over from Ventura Blvd to the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Ventura. The new location is spacious, appealing and includes inside and outside seating! I love the all-day dim sum offerings here. Honestly, that's my biggest draw. Plenty of options, prices are a bit higher than the traditional but not too far off, and every dish has been so tasty. Service was efficient, polite and fast. No complaints there. Plenty of parking in the lot and underground. I saw a valet option, but didn't partake. I'd recommend: shrimp rice noodle, scallion pancake, fried dumplings, juicy soup dumplings, rice wrap, sautéed string beans, and chow mein. Good for groups, individuals, and for couples to share!
